Agentic SWMM is open source and actively developed. New catchments, real calibration studies, stronger GIS inputs, careful QA, and interoperability work all make the framework more useful—and its limits more explicit.
Where collaborators can help
The project welcomes contributions across the modeling workflow. Useful areas include:
- Additional SWMM case studies — more watersheds and project types broaden the runnable benchmark set.
- Observed-data calibration and validation case studies — exercise the real SCE-UA engine across catchments while keeping performance claims case-specific.
- DEM, land-use, soil, and drainage-asset workflows — richer GIS preprocessing for subcatchment and network assembly.
- New MCP tools and portable skills — focused modelling interfaces that preserve the existing evidence contracts.
- QA testing — exercising the verification-first provenance and audit checks.
- Tutorials — worked examples and documentation that lower the onboarding curve.
- Interoperability with GIS, ML, and hydrologic toolchains — connecting Agentic SWMM to the wider modeling ecosystem.
